Sabeer Bhatia, Co-founder - Hotmail

Sabeer BhatiaSabeer is an Indian American entrepreneur, famously known as the founder of HotMail which he eventually sold to Microsoft in 1997. He is also the founder of SabseBolo.com, a free web-based teleconferencing system and major player in the web based telecom industry. Apart from these, Sabeer also started web based services named LiveDocuments and BlogEverywhere. Recently, in 2010 he launched Arzoo, a travel portal for India. Sabeer has won numerous prestigious accolades including the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' by venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson ('98), the 'Elite 100' by Upside magazine, the 'TR100 award' presented by MIT to 100 young innovators and 'People to Watch' in International Business ('02) by TIME Magazine. Sabeer ('86) transferred to Caltech after 2 years in BITS to complete his graduation and then joined Stanford to complete his M.S in Electrical Engineering.
