Phanindra is the co-founder and CEO of redBus, India's largest bus tickets aggregator- all this in just 3 years of operations! He graduated with honors from BITS Pilani, and worked with Texas Instruments before he co-founded redBus. Like most retail start-ups, redBus too was born out of a need and a market failure. redBus set out to correct that market failure by equipping customers with the power of information and enabling them to transact using the web, to start with. Today a customer has the convenience of buying a bus ticket over SMS, calling the call center, logging on to the web, having a ticket home delivered or at the neighborhood kirana store! Today redBus's distribution spans across 75000+ outlets in the country! One experience sparked an idea and that idea created a new industry in travel that spells convenience for millions of customers in India today.
