Raminder Singh Virdi ('69), BITSAA Pune Chapter
Raminder Singh Virdi is a BE (Hons) Mechanical Engg passout (1969-74) from BITS Pilani. He has been actively involved with BITS Alumni - Pune Chapter after being the Secretary for about three years, and now has taken over the responsibility as the Chairman. He started his working career with KIRLOSKAR OIL ENGINES LTD , Pune as Management Trainee and during the 15 years association with the company the functions and area of responsibilities included Production Planning , Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering and Projects. From 1990 to 1997 he was associated with the KHD Germany Licencee manufacturing Diesel Engines / DG sets in Indonesia and was heading the Diesel Engine Division. In 1994 he entered into an arrangement with NewZealand company to start own venture in the field of Microprocessor based Control systems for Engines / Telecom applications including the Remote Monitoring Solutions which continues till date.
